- The purpose of this notice is to inform interested parties that the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify Contract N00024-99-C-6337, on a sole source basis, with Raytheon Company, Electronic Systems, Naval and Maritime Systems, 1847 West Main Road, Portsmouth, Rhode Island in support of the AN/AQS-20X Sonar System. The modification(s) will consist of fabricating, testing, and delivering modular EOID Mod Kits, Part Number 7518746-1 that shall be installed in the Towed Body in place of the VSS array hull section when ID missions are to be performed. The modification will include four, (4) EOID Mod Kits and an option for one, (1) EOID Mod Kit. Successful completion of this effort requires intimate knowledge of the AN/AQS-20X Sonar System. Raytheon Company is the sole designer, developer and integrator of the AN/AQS-20X Sonar System software. Raytheon Company is th e only known source that possesses the necessary knowledge of design and operation requirements, capability, and expertise required to successfully provide these supplies and services in an accurate and timely manner while achieving a fully integrated and seamless system. The estimated period of performance is December 2002 to April 2004. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS.
