Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to award a non-personal services contract for Vocational Training Computer Aided Drafting (VT AUTOCAD) Instructor . Duties are to be performed at the Federal Correctional Institution, Manchester, Kentucky. Duties include: 1) Contractor will be responsible for providing instruction for exploratory and marketable skill VT AUTOCAD programs, which includes up to a one year curriculum. Additionally the instructor will ensure the curriculum covers necessary work leading to a completion on the NOCTI examination. 2) Contractor will be responsible for completing necessary paperwork for enrolling and completing students in the VT AUTOCAD program. Contractor will provide an updated waiting list for VT AUYTOCAD. 3) The Contractor will maintain accurate inmate accountability through a current classroom roll. The contractor will accurate monthly and quarterly reports for inmate attendance. 4) The contractor should have some supervisory experience in order to maintain control and manage inmate students in classroom setting. Contractor will be responsible for informing the Contracting Officer?s Technical Representative (COTR) of discrepancies and problem areas within the immediate area of responsibility. Contractor will maintain accurate tool accountability. Contractor should be able to work a schedule which fits the needs of the Bureau of Prisons. Contractor is required either to be trained, educated, or possess a Certificate or Degree relating to AUTOCAD. Evaluation factors will include the following: Training in a field related to VT/AUTOCAD instruction. Past work performance in VT/AUTOCAD instruction. Work experience in a Correctional Setting. Ability to work a flexible schedule. The Work Schedule will normally consist of four (4) sessions per week, with the session length defined as seven and one-half (7.5) hours in length, per session. The session will begin at 7:30 am and end at 3:30 pm, Monday through Thursday with an unpaid half hour lunch. Due to the nature of this contract, all individuals working within the confines of the institution will be required to submit to security clearances. This will be a competitive procurement with award being made to the offeror determined to be in the best interest of the Government with price and other factors considered. The base year will run for twelve months from the date of award with four (4) twelve month option periods for renewal. Anticipated date of award is September 01, 2002. It is anticipated this solicitation will be made available on or about June 15, 2002 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration?s Federal Business Opportunities website http://fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible foe monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The anticipated receipt of quotations is July 15, 2002. It is anticipated that this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price Requirements type contract. This is an unrestricted solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
