- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center, Weapons Division China Lake, CA intends to procure on a competitive basis, Data Analysis, a quantity of two (2) First Articles and forty (40) 2000 Pound Cast Ductile Iron Bomb Bodies utilizing a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The successful offeror shall be required to analyze, manufacture, test, inspect, prepare technical data and deliver the units in accordance with a Statement of Work (SOW) and Drawing Package. Two First Article Units shall be produced and tested prior to 26 weeks after contract award. First Article Inspection (FAI) tests shall include both destructive and non-destructive tests and inspections. Non-destructive tests include visual, radiography, magnetic particle, dimensional, keel block, lug load suspension and hydrostatic. Destructive tests include tensile, impact, metallographic, density and hardness. Ten (10) of the required forty (40) units will be randomly selected for both destructive and non-destructive testing. Thirty (30) units will be non-destructively tested and delivered in lot sizes of 10 units, unless otherwise specified by a representative of NAWCWD. Delivery of the 42 units shall be no later than 14 months after award. The Request for Proposal shall be issued on or about November 26, 2002 and will be available through the 2.0 Contracts Competency home page at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. The Drawing Package will also be available on-line at this site. There will be at least a 30-day response time for proposals. Proposals will be evaluated based on the Best Value for the Government. All responsible offerors will be considered for award. See Note 26.
