- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, is interested in identifying an industrial partner for the ELF On Hull Antenna Future Naval Capability demonstration. The feasibility of the On Hull ELF receiving antenna was demonstrated during two previous ONR 6.2 Exploratory Development Programs. During FY03, the transition of the technology from those programs to an ONR 6.3 Advanced Development Program will commence. This effort will involve the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport teaming with an industrial partner to design for manufacturability and build two magnetic core loop Advanced Development Antennas incorporating noise mitigation technologies with platform integration. Successful demonstration of the Advanced Development Antennas may lead to a contract solicitation for production of antennas for each submarine in the fleet plus spares. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport, is interested in conducting a pre-solicitation industry brief to present interested vendors with a more detailed overview of On Hull Antenna technologies and requirements.
