- Description
- The work includes furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and materials for the replacement of the structures for jetty lights, Number's 1 & 2 at Little River Inlet and lights, Number's 1 & 2 at Mullers Inlet, off the coast of South Carolina. The work will involve the demolition of the old structures and the installation of new light structures. The new light structures will consist of typical 5-pile metal structures identical to the existing. The work must be carried out by a specialized contractor, due to depth limitations in the area. The work is located at Little River Inlet and Mullers Inlet, South Carolina. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235910 with a three-year average annual receipts of $12.0 million. Bid guarantee, payment and performance bonds are required. The contract performance time is 45 calendar days. This action is UNRESTRICTED. Therefore, large and small business concerns, as well as HUBZone concerns may bid on this project. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSBDU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, performance and payment bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guarantee on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.00.
