- Description
- The GPS JPO held an Industry Day for Modernized User Equipment (MUE) on 23-24 April 02. During this meeting, a Draft Statement of Objectives (SOO) was released to Industry and posted on the GPS Bidder's Library for comment. The JPO requests any comments to this SOO be provided to Richard Acuna, see e-mail address below, at the JPO by 28 Jun 2002. As has been expressed at previous MUE industry days, teaming for this acquisition is highly encouraged. Exclusive teaming will not be permitted. In order that we (the JPO) better understand the potential teaming arrangements we ask that interested offerors identify who they would likely team with to support this acquisition. Please provide this information to Carol Laechelt at the e-email address given below by 5 Jul 02. The GPS JPO Modernized User Equipment (MUE) Program would like to meet with Industry during the period 23-26 July 2002 in El Segundo, CA. Included during this interchange would be a provision to have all parties who have properly registered for SAP access to be read in at the beginning of M-Code day on 24 July. Information regarding obtaining SAP access is posted in the GPS Bidder's Library. All of the meetings will be For Official Use Only with portions of the meetings on 24 July 2002 being Classified Secret and some classified Secret SAP. A schedule of events follows: Date, Time, Event: 23 July, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, Lab Day; 24 July, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, M-Code Day; 25 July, 8:30 am - 3:00 pm, Industry Day Update and review of Sections L&M; 26 July, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Contractor and Gov't team one-on-one sessions and detailed L&M review (Limited attendance) Attendance at the one-on-one sessions and detailed L&M review scheduled for 26 Jul 02 will be tightly controlled due to space limitations. As such, each contractor team will be restricted to a maximum of five (5) attendees at the 26 Jul 02 session. Please contact Elaine Gehr by telephone or via email by 18 Jul 02 to register for any or all MUE sessions or schedule a one-on-one meeting. Additional information regarding this upcoming event will be posted in the M-Code link of the GPS Bidder's Library at the following secure web address: http://gps.losangeles.af.mil. Location: The conference will be held at the A-8 Building/conference facility at Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo at 2350 El Segundo Blvd, El Segundo, CA with the check-in starting at 7:30 a.m. and the conference beginning at 8:30 a.m. Enter the facility off of El Segundo Blvd via the Douglas Street entrance. See security guard at the gate for entrance of personnel who have RSVP'd. You will be directed to parking and to the building and conference room location.
