- NA The Directorate of Contracting Fort Drum, NY is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to industry for Field Service support for Mast-Mounted Sight and associated Test Support Systems (MMS/TSS) on the OH-58D Aircraft located at Fort Drum, NY. Performance would be at Fort Drum or be associated with aircraft with permanent station at Fort Drum. The major functional areas in this support are: train Department of Defense (DoD) maintenance personnel on the MMS/TSS systems operations and troubleshooting proce dures; provide to DoD personnel, technical assistance and repair in the assembly, installation, testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance of the MSS/TSS; perform as a liaison between the manufacturer of the MMS/TSS, DRS Technologies, and the Aviatio n Brigade customer on Fort Drum concerning manufacturing support information. Service is anticipated to be required over a five year period, including option periods. Requirement is expected to be serviced by providing an Engineering Technician at Fort D rum, to perform on a weekly basis consisting of 40 hours a week. Available information is that the requirement can only be provided by DRS Optronics Contractor Field Service Representative. A Market Survey is being issued by Fort Drum to determine if the re are any business concerns that have the demonstrated capability and financial resources to successfully provide the required Field Service support. Businesses interested in this requirement are requested to complete the market survey requirements at th e Fort Drum Directorate of Contracting's Homepage at http:drum.army.mil. Hard copies of the survey will not be available. The survey is to be completed in its entirety. Respondents must demonstrate the ability to perform in the major functional areas id entified as a part of the MSS/TSS field service support. NAICS is 541330 with small business size standard of $4 million. The due date for responses to the market survey is 4:00 PM EST, November 12, 2002. Only those responses submitted through the Fort Drum market survey procedures discussed in this synopsis will be accepted. Responses to the market survey will form a part of the determination as to sole source provision of services. Individual responses will be treated as proprietary.
