Description

This is a sources-sought synopsis. This sources-sought synopsis requests information needed prior to release of any resultant solicitation. This is not a request for proposals and in no way obligates the Government in an award of any contract. The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD) is seeking to locate sources for self-propelled vessels for use in threat/target simulations. General specifications are as follows: Length: 50-70 feet; Speed: 50 knots in sea state 3 (fully developed seas with 7-15 kt wind); Endurance: 24 hours including 20 minutes at 35 knots and 30 minutes at 50 knots; Price should be based upon a single color hull; Boat sheer shall be unbroken for ease of personnel transfer; Minimum 1 marine head, berths for 3-4, minimum galley requirements. A goal is to minimize modifications to existing production systems. Interested companies are requested to provide technical information (including brochures, photos, or drawings), production history, cost information, and performance data to: Seaborne Target Team, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, Code 539300E, Point Mugu, CA 93042. Responses should be made no later than 6 December 2003.
