- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the supply of commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation number N00181-02-Q-0017 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). NAIC 332722 with a standard size of 500 employees. All deliverables shall be FOB Destination, NNSY, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. This is for a firm fixed price requirement for the following items: NOTE: ORDERING DATA IS APPLICABLE TO ALL ITEM NUMBERS. ORDERING DATA: A. studs, bolts, hex cap screws, socket head cap screws and nuts: MIL-S-1222H, 21 Oct. 1986 and Amendment 3 dtd. 30 Sep 1994. B. Type IV, IAW QQ-N-286F, Grade 500, Annealed and aged hardened. C and D not required. E and F N/A. G. Size: See Item Number. H. N/A. I. Iaw Table 1 and Paragraph 3.9. J. Lot A. K. Level C. L. Certification Required, See Item Number. Item 0001. Stud, continuous thread, Qty: 20 each, G. Size: (1 inch) (8 UNC-2A) X 70.00 inch to 72.00 inch long, Right Hand Threads. L. Certification Required, Remarks: 1. Provide written verfication that the Chemical and Mechanical properties have been determined and are acceptable IAW Mil-S-1222H w/Amendment 3 dated 30 September 1994. Test Reports shall list actual values for all verified attributes and shall be traceable to the material by Heat, Batch or Lot Number. 2. Verification of Slow Strain Rate Test (SSRT) IAW QQ-N-286F is required. 3. Material shall be identifiable to Inco Alloys International. Item 0002. Stud, continuous thread, 20 each, G. Size: (5/8 inch) (11 UNC-2A) X 70.00 inch to 72.00 inch long, Right Hand Threads. L. Certification Required, Remarks: 1. Provide written verfication that the Chemical and Mechanical properties have been determined and are acceptable IAW Mil-S-1222H w/Amendment 3 dated 30 September 1994. Test Reports shall list actual values for all verified attributes and shall be traceable to the material by Heat, Batch or Lot Number. 2. Raw stock shall be manufactured by and traceable to Inco Alloys International, Inc. Traceability shall be accomplished via heat, lot, or batch number marked on the material and the test reports. Slow Strain Rate Tensile Test results to be included on the test reports. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions/clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The following apply: FAR 52.212-1, 52.212-2, 52.212-3, 52.212-4, 52.212-5 (incorporating 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.222-19, 52.232-33, 52.232-36 as applicable;). ADDENDA: FAR 52.203-6, and 52.222-25; DFAR 252.212-7001 incorporating 52.203-3, 252.225-7001, IMPORTANT NOTICE: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) applies to all solicitations issued on/after 06/01/98. Parties responding to this request for quotation may submit their quote in accordance with their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, quote form, etc) but must include the following 1) Complete mailing/remittance address (s); 2) Prompt payment discount; 3) Delivery Schedule; 4) Taxpayer ID#; 5) All completed certifications as required herein.
