Description

Description: Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement. The Government intends to issue a sole source purchase order for 3 specifically modified interface boxes compatible with the Strategic Automated Command Control System (SACCS) network and 2 custom fabricated cables to Mark Space Inc., 22611 Markey Court, Ste 111, Sterling, VA 20166. The specifications of these supplies are proprietary to Mark Space, Inc. The 55th Contracting Squadron intends to award a purchase order by other than full and open competition in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (a)(2). Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is an additional system expansion that started three years ago and all system engineering is based on custom fabricated components from Mark Space. Three of these units are already deployed on-line and system-wide configuration management with no delay in an extremely tight deployment timeline is required. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination not to compete this proposed procurement is based on market research.
