- General Services Administration (GSA), Federal Supply Service (FSS), National Customer Service Center (NCSC), Kansas City, MO plans on conducting an A76 Study for its customer service call center. Services currently being provided include verifying order status, tracking shipments, resolving order deficiencies or discrepancies, providing information on merchandise returns and exchanges, billing inquires, merchandise quality concerns, and current price quotes. In accordance with current regulations, a cost comparison of contracting to the cost of in-house performance shall be performed to determine who will do the work. A solicitation will be issued on or before May 2003 so that a determination can be finalized. A fixed price incentive type effort for up to five years is anticipated. Prior to solicitation release, draft documents will be posted on FEDBIZOPS. Interested parties are urged to provide questions, comments and recommendations on all postings. The questions and answers will also be posted. This pre-solicitation notice is to provide timely notification to contractors. This is the third such announcement. Submit requested information once. Our market research has established that there are services customarily available in the marketplace that can meet the Government?s needs; therefore we anticipate utilizing FAR Part 12.
