Description
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has a requirement for Security Services. This procurement is a 100% HUBZone set-aside. In order to protect both the interests of both HUBZone businesses and HUD, the cascading approach will be employed. All potential small business offerors may submit proposals for the work identified in the solicitation. An award resulting from the solicitation will be made based on the descending order of precedence: to eligible HUBZONE business concern, provided that at least a minimum of two (2) competitive offerors are received. If a minimum of two (2) competitive offers from eligible HUBZone business concern are not received, the award of any contract resulting from the solicitation will be made to a eligible 8(a) business concern, provided that at least two (2) competitive offers are received from qualified 8(a) business concerns. If a minimum of two (2) competitive offers from eligible 8(a) business concerns are not received, the award of any contract resulting from this solicitation will be made to a small business concern, provided that a minimum of two (2) competitive offers are received from qualified small business concerns. The period of performance will consist of a base year with four (4) one-year options, for a total of five (5) years. The NAICS code for this requirement is 561612. The solicitation will be available on or about December 14, 2001. The closing date for receipt of offers will be addressed therein.
