Description
This is not a presolicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5, but is a market survey to identify sources that possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to meet the AF requirements necessary to fulfill the following requirements: The Government objective is to acquire a common engine test system for all Air Force /Guard and Reserve engine types and series. The system should consist of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) modular component architecture. It is desired that their be a common "core configuration" that is can be added to in the form of an engine kit which results in the required configuration to test each engine type and series utilizing all Air Force organic and depot engine test cell/hush house configurations, portable and permanent. Note, this notice does not constitute an IFB or RFP and is not to be construed as any commitment by the Government. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any cost incurred for their participation in this sources sought survey. The extent of foreign participation or level of security clearance to receive any resulting solicitation has not yet been determined. Therefore, particpation in this survey may not necessarily result in your compny being able to particpate in any later resulting solicitation. Large and small business may participate in this survey. Joint ventures or teaming arrangements may be advantageous for prospective offerors. responses are due in accordance with the attached documents not later than 5 December 2002 COB.
