- Eglin AFB FL is conducting a market survey for a digital control (DDC) system for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment. The market survey is being conducted to identify sources and to increase competition acquisition opportunities in reference to a DDC system for HVAC equipment. This market survey is only for information. It is not a request to be placed on a solicitation mailing list, a request for proposal, or an announcement of a solicitation. The purpose of this Sources Sought request is to possibly obtain software and future upgrades, full (100%) compatible and operable with existing system components at Eglin AFB FL. Direct Digital Controls for HVAC equipment is required for Operation and Maintenance (O&M) construction projects on Eglin AFB FL. The DDC system shall be fully (100%) compatible with existing Network 8000 DDC system manufactured by Barber-Colman/Siebe. This system utilizes a proprietary data interface. Responses are required fourteen (14) calendar days after this publication of this notice. Responses should be addressed to AAC/PKOI, 205. W. D Ave, Ste 541, Eglin AFB FL 32542-6862 and should be directed to Ms. Helen Cunningham, (850) 882-3144, Ext. 5244. Firms interested in being considered shall provide manufacturer's name, product data, and written statement of compatibility. The written statement of compatibility shall include necessary backup information, support documentation, and a list of projects in which Network 8000 has been successfully interfaced. The list shall include exact location of project and a point of contact with phone numbers. The Government will not pay for any material provided in response to this synopsis nor return any data provided. Any awards that may be made as a result of this synopsis will be considered to be in effect for a period of three years.
