Description

NCBC Gulfport intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with Candela Corp. D/B/A CLZR to provide "LASER SYSTEM, FFP-PULSED DYE, VBEAM CANDELA, WITH 3 YEAR WARRANTY?. This will provide the Dermatology Clinic, Naval Hospital; Bremerton, VA the ability to offer treatment options for a number of diseases for which they currently have limited or no treatment options. The system would typically be usded for a wide range of skin conditions in a busy dermatology practice. The "CANDELA VBEAM" product was chosen due to its effective laser system for treating vascular lesions. Other conditions that can be treated with this laser include warts, telangiectasias, and many other benign vascular lesions. The VBEAM offers user-selectable pulse duration inlcuding ultra-long pulse duration, which avoids postoperative pupura and increases effectiveness. The integrated Dynamic Cooling Device allows most patients to receive treatment without pre-operative medications, which increase safety and patient comfort. No solicitation is available. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement by identifying themselves and giving written notification to the Contracting Officer within fifteen (15) calendar days after date of publication of this synopsis. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations. Information received as a result of this synopsis will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All questions concerning this RFQ must be submitted in writing, FAX 228-871-2691/3212. No telephone requests will be accepted.
