- Description
- The Department of Defense Dependent Schools (DoDDS) Europe Transportation Division has a requirement for unarmed Bus Security Attendants for its regular daily commute bus routes in Bahrain and Turkey, and in Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Security services include security attendants riding on school buses during morning and afternoon runs; observing, detecting, and reporting indicators of terrorist or other criminal interest in the students, the buses, and the bus routes; conducting visual inspections of the buses for indicators of tampering or presence of explosive devises. As an alternative in Italy and Spain only, offerors may be asked to train existing second adult safety guides in Italy and safety monitors in Spain to perform security related tasks as an additional duty. The planned contract type is firm fixed price indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract with a one-year base period and four (4) one-year option periods. The procurement will be conducted on an unrestricted basis under full and open competition. Award will be made using best value source selection procedures. Multiple awards are anticipated. The estimated funding range is between $8 - $10 million per year for the base year and subsequent option years. The solicitation will be available on or about October 22, 2002. DEPO is issuing this solicitation electronically. Interested parties may access the solicitation at http://www.eps.gov or hard copies will be available at the District Transportation Supervisors offices upon request.
