Description
Extension of DUE date from November 12, 2002 through November 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. This is an advertisement and request for bids for the sale of five Sony IMX studio recorders model MSWA2000, purchased by the Senate on May 31, 2002. These are B stock VTRs purchased directly from Sony, and have full warranties through May 31, 2003. They have not been used by the Senate, and have been unpacked only to verify serial numbers and digitally clocked hours of operation. The following lists the serial numbers and their associated hours. Please note that actual tape running time is a fraction of listed operation hours indicated: Serial #10435 Operation Hrs 232; Serial #10372 Operation Hrs 5; Serial #10416 Operation Hrs 1; Serial #10377 Operation Hrs 4; Serial #10356 Operation Hrs 4. The minium bid for each individual VTR is $23,000.00. Only bids that are at least the minimum amount will be accepted. Bids are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. Offerors may bid or on an individual, multiple or all VTRs. Bidders shall provide their bids through submission of electronic bids via email to Acquisitions@saa.senate.gov to the attention of Kathleen M. Haddow no later than November 15, 2002 at 2:00 p.m. EDT. The awardee shall be responsible for making transportation arrangements and picking up the equipment and materials within 10 days after notice of award. The awardee must send payment(s) via certified check for the amount of the winning bid prior to pickup. The awardee will be responsible for all transportation costs. Failure to fulfill the terms of this bid as stated in this request will result in termination of the award and an opportunity for award to the next best priced offer. Pickup hours shall be Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm excluding Federal Holidays. The identity of bidders will not be revealed to each other. The Senate reserves the right to suspend or cancel the bid at any time. Bidders shall submit pricing only through email to Acquisitions@saa.senate.gov to the attention of Kathleen M. Haddow. Bidders shall not submit pricing via any other mechanism including but not limited to post, courier, fax, or orally unless specifically requested by the Senate. At the conclusion of the bidding, the Senate intends to award the sale(s) to the best-priced bid. Proposals or modifications to proposed prices received after the closing time specified will not be considered. Questions regarding the equipment for bid may be emailed to Acquisitions@saa.senate.gov to the attention of Kathleen M. Haddow. No telephone requests or prices will be accepted. When responding to this request by submitting a bid, the bidder agrees to pay for and remove the property, if the bid is accepted, by the dates and times specified.
