Description

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, Maryland intends to negotiate with LSI, Inc., 6200 Lake Gray Blvd., Jacksonville, FL on a sole source basis for the procurement of continued design, development, refinement, and revision of training products for the Weapon Systems Technical Training Program Office. This action is a sole source modification to contract N00421-99-D-1210 that will increase the potential contract hours. The applicable NAICS Code is 541330 (Engineering Services). Logistic Services International (LSI) will provide the services necessary to develop and/or update the training products (e.g. Traditional Courseware, Computer Aided Instruction Courseware, Computer Based Training, Web Based Training, Front End Analyses, Training Situation Analyses) as it is necessary to continue operations due to growth until a competitive acquisition is awarded. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C., 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. While this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability to respond to this requirement and may submit information which shall be considered by the Naval Air Systems Command.
