Description
The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound has a requirement for ships hull paint in accordance with MIL-PRF-23236B and MIL-PRF-24647C as follows: 1) Epoxy White (MIL-PRF-23236B), 8 kits (5 gallon kits), Wintergrade, Stock # 8010-01-241-9722; 2) Epoxy Red (MIL-PRF-24647C), 198 kits (5 gallon kits), Wintergrade, Stock # 8010-01-268-7584; 3) Anti-Corrosion Paint (MIL-PRF-24647C), 92 kits (5 gallon kits), Wintergrade, Stock # 8010-01-281-2182; 4) Anti-Fouling, Red (MIL-PRF-24647C), 155 cans (5 gallon cans), Stock # 8010-01-339-8708; 5) Epoxy Gray Resin (MIL-PRF-24647C), 1 drum (55 gallon drum); 6) Epoxy Black Resin (MIL-PRF-24647C), 1 drum (52 gallon drum); 7) Epoxy Red Resin (MIL-PRF-24647C), 1 drum (55 gallon drum); 8) Clear Epoxy Converter (MIL-PRF-24647C), 1 drum (52 gallon drum). A single award will be made for all paint material listed above. A QPL is applicable for both MIL-PRF specifications. Only those firms that are listed on the QPL for both MIL-PRF specifications can be considered for award on this acquisition. Delivery of all the paint material, to the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton, WA, is required by 21 December 2002. The procedures of FAR Part 12, Commercial Acquisition, will be utilized. The Government anticipates that Reverse Auction procedures will be utilized to establish final pricing. It is anticipated that the RFQ will be issued on or about 13 Nov 02, with quotes due by 21 Nov 02. When issued, the RFQ will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web link "www.neco.navy.mil". All offerors wishing to submit an offer, are responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFQ from this website (WinZIP or equivalent is required) and to frequently monitor that site for any amendments to the RFQ. No telephone or fax requests for the RFQ package will be accepted. An email request to "victor_b_angkico@puget.fisc.navy.mil" will be accepted in the event an offeror experiences problems downloading the RFQ from the NECO website. No bidders list will be maintained by this office. No paper copies of the RFQ and/or amendments will be mailed. Failure to respond to electronically posted solicitations or quotes and associated amendments prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposals or quotes may render your proposal or quote nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
