Description
The U.S. Navy intends to award a sole-source, cost plus fixed fee order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-00-G-0325 to Raytheon Company, Tucson, AZ, for sustaining engineering efforts for HARM Queued Six Degrees of Freedom (Q6DOF) simulation validation support through the HARM PNU DT/DT Assist and OT Programs. The sustaining effort will include flight results analysis and comparison with simulation predictions. Mismatches between the two will be investigated. Flight software, functional design, and hardware problems will be documented and reported to the PNU team for resolution. Simulation modeling problems will be further investigated to determine the root cause of the model deficiency. Model improvements will be developed where feasible. The Q6DOF will be updated with the new models, new comparisons with the flight results will be made, and the simulation will be re-issued if required. White papers will be written describing the anomaly, the model deficiency, the model refinement, and a comparison of the updated simulation with the flight results. The focus of the effort will be on improvements to the simulation, which improve the accuracy of the simulation predictions. Improvements to the usability of the simulation will be a lower priority and will only be done if time and schedule permits. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS.GOV ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (06-NOV-2002). IT ACTUALLY FIRST APPEARED ON THE FEDBIZOPPS SYSTEM ON 12-NOV-2002.
