Description
This is not a request for proposals (RFP). This announcement only constitutes a synopsis of the future release of solicitation N00019-03-R-6509 for the T56 Series III Engines maintenance and repair required by the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR). The solicitation will be made available to interested parties on the NAVAIR website: http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/. This requirement is for maintenance and repair of the Navy?s T56 Series III engines follow-on effort. The three major modules of the engine to be maintained and repaired under this contract are power sections, gearboxes and torquemeters. A draft of the Government?s Statement of Work (SOW) will be made available at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/. These services are currently being obtained from Rolls-Royce Engine Services-Oakland Inc., Oakland, CA under Contract N00019-98-D-0175. The Government anticipates award(s) of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) contract for a base year and four one-year option periods. Additionally, each year will contain over-and-above contract line items to cover efforts outside the scope of the basic maintenance and repair requirements. The Government intends for this procurement to be a full and open competition and reserves the right to make multiple awards if it is determined to be most advantageous based on the capabilities and overall evaluation of the proposals received. The information presented in this announcement will not obligate the Government in any manner. Additionally, the Government is compiling an interested parties list for release with the formal solicitation.
