Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This is a request for proposal (RFP) 263-02-P(GR)-0093. This is a Total Small Business set-aside. The National Insititutes of Health intends to procure Full Preventive Maintenance, Repair and Installation Service for Roll-up Doors Dock Board systems at Bethesda, Maryland. Work includes, but is not limited to: Two inspections per year, Service Calls, Emergency Calls, and Replacement parts. The base period of performance will be from 1 February 2003 through 31 January 2004, with four one-year option periods. A contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforms to the Statement of Work and provides the ?best value? to the Government based upon evaluation of past performance and price. An award may be made to a firm offering other than the lowest price. The Government intends to award without discussions therefore, offeror's initial proposals should contain the offeror's best terms. The applicable NAICS Code is 332321 and corresponding size standard is $6.5 million. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about December 3, 2002 with a closing date of approximately 30 days after its issuance. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted on the Electronic Posting System / Federal Business Opportunities at www.eps.gov No paper copies will be furnished. Contractors will be solely responsible for monitoring the Internet and downloading the solicitation, amendments, and all documents. Please address all questions to Mrs. Pemberton.
