Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, CA is soliciting a proposal to procure the following on an other than full and open competition basis: the manufacture of 230 ea (210 ea deliverable) BBU-60/B Booster, Fuze devices (with optional quantities totaling up to 210 ea deliverable BBU-60/B Booster, Fuze devices in accordance with item Specification AS-6127 in support of the SLAM-Expanded Response missile program. The deliverable optional quantities will be 25 ea, 45 ea, 65 ea, and 75 ea BBU-60/B Boosters. This requirement will be solicited on another than full and open competition basis with Reynolds Systems Incorporated, Middletown, CA, as Reynolds Systems Inc. is the only qualified source to build BBU-60/B boosters. The contractor will fabricate, assemble, inspect, and test to the Government item specification and drawings. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract for this effort. First Unit Inspection and Dimensional Verification will be required. Delivery of the boosters will be FOB Destination to the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, China Lake, California, 210 days after contract award. Partial and early deliveries are acceptable. Award is scheduled to occur by 28 Mar 2003. The Request for Proposal will be issued on or about 12 Dec 2002, and will be available through the Contract Competency homepage Web site at: https://contracts.nawcwd.navy.mil/rfp-nawc.htm. The Government anticipates a 30-day response time for receipt of proposals. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. See Note 26.
