Description
The General Services Administration intends to issue a sole source contract to VMIC, Inc. on behalf of Luke AFB, AZ under the authority of FAR 13.501 utilizing the Simplified Acquisition procedures under authority and limits of FAR Parts 12 and 13. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 02-09. The objective of this contract will be to the provision of the following: 12 VMIVME-7750-360 Intel Pentium III Processor-Based VMEbus SBC , 733 MHz, 512 Mbyte SDRAM, No CompactFlash, 10 VMIPMC-7450-300 PMC IDE Hard Disk Adapter , 20 Gbyte Hard Disk Drive, 4 VMIVME-7459-211 VME-based Read/Write CD-ROM, 20 Gbyte HDD, 2 VMIPMC-5576XL-001 PMC bus Fibre-Optic Reflective Memory with Interrupts, 1 Mbyte Memory, 512 Transfer FIFO, PCI Target Accesses and PCI Initialtor, DMA Capable, 1 VMIVME-5576-010 VME bus Fibre-Optic Reflective Memory with Interrupts, 256 Kbyte Memory, 4 Kbyte FIFO, 1 VMIVME-9064/32-471-001 Reflective Memory Intelligent I/O controller, 68040 Single Board Computer. Luke AFB currently utilizes VMIC equipment and only these replacement parts are swappable with the existing equipment. A justification for Other than Full and Open is on file. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors, applies to this acquisition. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items, with its offer. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The proposed contract action is for commodities for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13.501. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. All responses received by 4:00 p.m., PST, 11/19/02 will be considered by the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted by email at fred.hersom@gsa.gov.
