Description
The project involves the construction of a new US Marshals Service (USMS) Facility at the fourth floor of the Joseph P. Kinneary U.S. Courthouse. The facility includes offices, detention areas, conference rooms, interview rooms, computer room, and an exercise area. Work items include new or upgraded gypsum panel/metal stud walls, masonry walls, HVAC, fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Abatement of asbestos containing material is also included. Approximately, 10,400 S.F. at the fourth floor are involved. Work will be performed at the Joseph P. Kinneary U.S. Federal Courthouse, 85 Marconi Blvd., Columbus, Ohio. Contract completion time is 540 calendar days from receipt of notice to proceed. This procurement is opened to all business concerns. If awarded to a large business, a small business subcontracting plan will be required. The North American Industrial Classification System Code is 236220 with a size standard of $28.5 mil. The estimated cost range is between $1,000,000 and $3,000,000. This is a negotiated, best value procurement. Specification will be available on or about November 28, 2002. The subject solicitation includes Sensitive But Unclassified Building (SBU) information. For reasons of security and before release of SBU information, the requester must complete and sign the attached Document Security Notice to Prospective Bidders/Offerors. In addition, the following information must be submitted by the requester 1) A copy of the company's business license 2) The company's Dunn and Bradstreet number 3) The company's Tax Identification Number. For persons picking up the SBU documents, a valid picture state I.D. is required. The signed notice and all required documentation shall be submitted to the point of contact cited herein. NO TELEPHONIC OR E-MAIL REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED, however, facsimiles will be accepted. After receipt and verification of the preceding information, the requestor will be designated as an authorized user and a copy of the solicitation will be released on compact disc (CD) via U.S. Mail Service to the requestor. Potential offerors must ensure that request include the address to which a CD is to be sent .
