- Description
- The Department of Defense, TRICARE Management Activity (TMA), has a contract with an independent, impartial peer review organization to evaluate the care provided to the beneficiaries of the Department of Defense's managed care program, TRICARE. The contract number is MDA906-97-D-0004. The Department is soliciting input from industry regarding a follow-on procurement to this contract. The proposed follow-on contract(s) are for the oversight of the seven current regional Managed Care Support (MCS) contracts as these contracts phase out, and oversight for three new regional MCS contracts. TMA has released draft requirements by providing a link to National Quality Monitoring at www.tricare.osd.mil/contracting/healthcare/solicitations. The government solicits written industry comments, which can be submitted to Charmaine Mathews at charmaine.mathews@tma.osd.mil. In addition, TMA is planning to hold an industry forum in order to discuss the draft requirements and solicit comments, suggestions and feedback. The government intends to utilize industry input for development of the solicitation(s). The one-day industry forum will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2002 starting at 8:30 a.m., at the Doubletree Hotel, Denver Southeast, (Iliff Avenue and I-225), 13696 E. Iliff Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014, telephone (303) 337-2800. For hotel reservations please call 1-800-222-8733 and refer to the NQMC Industry Forum in order to receive the discounted rate. Interested parties are requested to register in advance if planning to attend this forum. Additional information will be made available in the near future via the NQMC solicitation website (listed above) specifically under the Industry Forum link, to include an agenda and driving directions to the hotel. To register for the conference or if you have any questions regarding the event, please contact Charmaine Mathews at charmaine.mathews@tma.osd.mil.
