- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The PBGC anticipates awarding an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract with firm-fixed rates. Solicitation number RQ-43-03-000038; The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-009. Description of services required: bi-monthly pick-up and shredding of sensitive/confidential documents. Secured bins shall be provided by the contractor at the following locations; Currently 37 bins- Washington DC 20005; Currently 6 bins - Alexandria VA; Currently 1 bin - Atlanta GA 30361; Currently 1 bin - Cedar Falls, IA 50613; Currently 2 bins - Coraopolis PA 15108; Currently 1 bin - Kokomo IN 46902; Currently 1 bin - Miami Springs, FL; Currently 1 bin - Pueblo, CO 81003; Currently 2 bin - Richmond Hgts, OH 44143; Currently 2 bin - Sarasota, FL 34236; Currently 1 bin - West Allis, WI 53214; Currently 1 bin - Wheeling, WV 26003; Currently 2 bin - Wilmington, DE 19810. Approximately 31,000 lbs were shredded in FY02. Additional services may include disintegration of sensitive/confidential information and computer tape destruction. The offeror shall identify it's rate structure by pick-up and lbs, as identified above, along with fixed rates for disintegration (per lbs) and computer tape destruction (price per tape). The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition and no additions to this provision have been made. The Government will award a contract resulting from this synopsis/solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to this synopsis/solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: past performance (offer shall include a minimum of two (2) vendors who may be contacted for past performance) and price/cost. The term of this contract shall be January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2003 with four, one year option periods. Offerors shall include a completed copy of the information required through provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with its offer.
