- Description
- The U.S. Coast Guard, Civil Engineering Unit Cleveland, Ohio anticipates issuing a solicitation for competition limited to eligible 8(a) firms located only in the State of New Jersey to acquire various services to support maintenance of Military Family Housing units at the U.S. Coast Guard Training Center Cape May, 1 Munro Avenue, Cape May, NJ. Work includes all types of maintenance and repair of housing units, including change of occupancy maintenance, pest control, house cleaning, painting, service calls (including emergency service calls); appliance repair/and or replacement, operate Self-Help Store, preventative/recurring maintenance, sidewalk repairs, etc. All information required for submission of an offer will be identified in the solicitation. The period of performance is anticipated to be 1 April 2003 through 31 March 2004, with four (4) Option Years available to be exercised by the Government. The acquisition is being offered as an 8(a) Competitive limited to eligible 8(a) concerns. NAICS Code 561210 applied with a size standard of $23 million. A Best Value Source Selection Decision is intended. Price and Technical Proposals will be required as well as Past Performance and Financial Information. Requirements of the Service Contract Act, Davis-Bacon Act and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 will apply. Performance and Payment Bonds will be mandatory. The solicitation will contain specific information and updates. The successful contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, tools, equipment and transportation for housing maintenance services for all military housing facilities located at USCG Training Center Cape May, NJ. All interested, capable 8(a) firms are encouraged to download a copy of the solicitation and supporting documents from FedBizOpps immediately upon posting to ensure that the required timeframes are met. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be issued. All eligible 8(a) firms may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. All eligible 8(a) firms will be required to submit a letter from the SBA with their proposal demonstrating that they are eligible to submit an offer. These eligible 8(a) concerns must be located in the State of New Jersey. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted solely on these websites. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), offers working capital financing and bonding assistance for transportation related contracts. DOT's Bonding Assistance Program (BAP) offers bid, performance and payment bonds on contracts up to $1,000,000. DOT's Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers lines of credit to finance accounts receivable. Maximum line of credit is $500,000.00 with interest at the prime rate.
