- Description
- This a Modification to the Previous Presolicitation. The Department of Veterans Affairs Facilities within the Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN 7), which includes VA Medical Centers in Decatur, Dublin and Augusta (two division), GA; also VA Medical Centers in Charleston and Columbia, SC, has a need to provide an adequate supply of bacteriological clean linen, patient wearing apparel and employee uniforms for each of the Medical Centers. These services are in support of a patient care program. It is the intent for VISN 7 to award contract either by single award for all five Medical Centers or multiple awards to one or more Medical Center(s). The textile care services may be utilizing one or more of the following options: Government owned standard linen items, Contractor owned standard linen items or Combination of both. The contractor shall make special linen services available at the VA_s option, including but not limited to surgery linen inspection, surgery pack making, pressing, garment finishing and processing of non-standard items. The solicitation will be issued with a base year and four (4) one-year VA discretionary options for renewal. The NAICS code for this procurement is 812331 with a small business size standard of $12 M. This procurement is unrestricted. The solicitation will be issued on/about December 20, 2002. Evaluation factors will be Technical/Management Approach, Personnel Qualifications, Past Performance and Pricing/Fee Schedule.
