Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items or services in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quotation No. (RFQ) R-9070-00-3-00. The standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for the acquisition is 3826 and the NAICS code is 334516. The Food and Drug Administration is soliciting for the following equipment: ABX Pentra 60 C plus hematology analyzer for multi species testing with the following requirements: UPS battery backup, 250 MB Zip Drive, Flat Panel Computer Monitor, Computer-integrated Keyboard, Remote Technical Diagnostics software, Hematovision cell Morphology ID software, must work with multi-species samples, and 5-part automated differential, training, installation, and warranty. It is the government intent to negotiate on a sole-source basic with ABX Diagnostics, Inc., 34 Brunsen Drive, Irvine, CA 92618. Offers are due on or before December 12, 2002, 3:00 p.m. local prevailing time in Jefferson, Arkansas. An official authorized to bind the Offeror must sign the terms and conditions of the offer. Offerors that fail to finish required reprensentations and certifications, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation, may be excluded from consideration. Award will be issued to the offeror that provides the best value to the government and whose proposed equipment meets all specifications as referenced above.
