- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this acquisition is NOI3009 and is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 561210, which has a size standard of $6 million. This procurement is to provide program support for the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) Minority Training Initiative Program in Mali. The purpose of this procurement is to provide funds to the MRTC for the operation of the Minority Training Program in Mali. Funds are managed by the office of the Dean of the medical school where the program is based in Bamako, Mali. These services are to support the following: 1) Provide administrative services for the training program in Mali. This includes support for the financial manager, program manager, and mentors who guide the students through their training programs. 2) Provide classroom, laboratory and clinical facility support at the National School of Medicine, Hospital Point G, and Hospital Gabriel Toure as sites for training students. 3) Provide transport within Mali for students involved in the program. This includes transport to and from the airport, into the city on regular trips, and field trips to various field research sites outside Bamako. 4) Provide field site support for training outside Bamako. This includes field research laboratories in Doneguebougou, Sotuba, Bandiagara, Bancoumana and Niono. This service is to begin December 16, 2002 thru May 30, 2003. The following FAR provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-4, Contractor Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. A completed copy of provisions FAR 52.212-3 Offerors Representations and Certifications Commercial Items must be included.
