- This modification to the original solicitation changes the quantity of the three items only. All other terms in the original solicitation remain unchanged. The corrected solicitation is as follows: The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ), Edinburg, TX, intends to procure Pherocon AM Trap Baited (Yellow Sticky Trap), Pherocon II and 1C Liner. Submit faxed quotations to "Purchasing Section," at (612) 370-2136, Attention Joanne Mann. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE NOVEMBER 27, 2002 BY 12:00 a.m. local time. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 01-09. Applicable FAR clauses are incorporated by reference: Prompt Payment 52.249-1 (4/84); Instructions to Offerors -Commercial Items 52.212-1; Evaluation-Commercial items 52.212-2 (10/97); Offeror Representations and Certifications 52.212-3 (10/98); Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items 52.212-4 (05/01); Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items 52.212-5 (10/98). SPECIFICATIONS: 20,000 each Pherocon AM Trap baited (Yellow Sticky Trap), size 11 x 9; .024 milk carton stock; used to monitor apple and blueberry maggot, walnut husk fly and cherry fruit fly. 1,500 each Pherocon II; size 7.5 x 9; .024 milk carton stock; for general trapping of insects in orchard, row crop and stored grain. 9,000 each 1C liner; size: 1 x 9; .024 milk carton stock; common trap used to monitor all agriculture insects. Quotes must be for all three items. Award will be made on the basis of lowest price technically acceptable to the Government.
