- Description
- The contractor shall furnish the necessary qualified personnel, materials, supplies, facilities, and equipment to perform Side Impact Crash Testing for New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) and Indicant Test to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) Nos. 214D and 301. Offerors must have the necessary testing facilities, materials and equipment capable of meeting the testing requirements as specified by the Solicitation and FMVSS Nos. 214D and 301. The government may require a demonstration test at the offeror's expense prior to contract award using the test facility, materials, personnel and equipment that the offeror proposes to use in performance of the contract. Subcontracting of the side impact testing or any portion of the side impact test will NOT be permitted under this contract with the exception of photo processing services defined as "Photographic Documentation" in the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and the Laboratory Test Procedures. Manufacturers of vehicles and/or components to be tested are not eligible for award of this contract. After open competition, the government intends to issue a firm fixed-price, Indefinite Quantity Type Contract. The period of performance is twelve (12) months with four (4) additional twelve (12) months option periods. NAICS Code for this contract is 541380.Electronic copies of the RFP and any other documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet.These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The Internet site or URL for the FedBizOpps page is www.fedbizoOpps.gov or the GSA Electronic Posting Service (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov. It is the Offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet sites for the release of the solicitation and amendments(if any). Potential Offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Requests for paper copies of the RFP will not be accepted. Estimated date for release of solicitation is on or about December 24, 2002.
