Description
This is a notice of intent that WR-ALC anticipates issuing a contract for an additional 5 shipsets to be included in solicitation F09603-02-R-50314 for the AN/ALR-56M radar warning receiver in support of the C-130J and KC-130J aircraft. Each shipset to consist of 1 ea NSN: 5865-01-463-1950EW, 5865-01-408-4378EW, 5865-01-381-3278EW, 5865-01-324-7734EW, and 4 ea 5865-01-381-2974EW. To: BAE, Ridge Hill, Yonkers, NY 10710. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation. The proposed requirement is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. The Government will consider all proposals received within fortyfive days after date of publication of this synopsis (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement). A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. All potential offerors should contact the buyer/PCO identified above for additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, concerning this acquisition. If the contracting officer does not satisfy your concerns, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
