Description
NA This Sources Sought Market Survey is seeking to identify potential sources to manufacture caps, gray and white, for the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, NY. Quantity of dress white cap is estimated to be 1752, and quantity of uniform gray cap is estim ated to be 1446. Actual quantity varies according to cap size. The specifications may be viewed at http://www.usma.edu/doc/solic.htm under Cap Dress White and Uniform Gray. The Government will provide as government furnished materials, gray cloth, butto ns, insignia, and gold straps. All items not identified as Government Furnished Material shall be provided by the contractor. At time of award, GFM sufficient to produce first Articles shall be shipped to the contractor by express mail. The remaining qu antity shall be shipped after First Articles are approved. At contract completion, all unused GFM shall be returned to the Government. First Articles on each item is required 20 days after award and shall be visually inspected for construction, materials (other than GFM) and size. The requirement for First Articles may be waived by the Contracting Officer if, identical, or similar items have previously been provided by the contractor and accepted by the Government. Delivery shall be no more than 90 days after notification of First Article Approval or 90 days after contract award if First Articles are waived. Notice shall be provided on or about 15 July 2003, if optional quantities are required. Delivery of optional quantities shall be no more than 30 d ays after receipt of order. Merchandise shall be bar-coded. The purpose of this announcement is to assist the Contracting Officer in determining the availability of sources and appropriate set aside, if any. Include business information, type of business and size. The applicable NAICS is 315991 and the size standard for this requirement is 500 employees. The due date for responses is 5 December 2002.
