Description
NA A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are adequate Section 8(a) contractors in the states of Texas, Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, and New Mexico for this project. In addition this survey also includes a search for SBA HubZone Certified Small Business. HubZone businesses are not restricted to any specified area. The proposed contractor will construct a US Army Reserve Center (USARC), an Organizational Maintenance Shop (OMS), Direct Support-General Support Maintenance Shop (DSGS ) with wash rack at the Grand Prairie Armed Forces Reserve Complex. The training building and OMS/DSGS bldg. will consist of 23,062 Sq. Ft. and 25,638, Sq. Ft. respectively. The OMS/DSGS and USARC will be of permanent construction with reinforced concret e foundations, concrete floor slabs, structural steel frames, masonry veneer walls, standing seam metal roofs. Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems and security systems (fire alarms connected via radi o) are required. Supporting facilities include land clearing, paving, etc. This project is planned for advertisement on 14 May 2003 with award scheduled by 30 June 2003. Contract duration is estimated at 570 calendar days. NAICS Code is 233320. The es timate price range is $5,000,000.00 to $10,000,000.00. 15-20% of the work is to be self-performed. All interested Section 8(a) or HubZone businesses should notify this office in writing by mail or fax at (502) 315-6193 by 13 December 2002 at 4:00 PM Loui sville Local Time. Responses should include (1) Identification of company as Section 8(a) or HubZone Business, (2) Past Experience-Describe completed construction projects that are similar in size and scope to the proposed project, the performance of self -performed work and how it was accomplished, (3) Capability of obtaining performance and payment bonds for a project in the dollar amount listed above, and (4) a statement verifying the contractor will self-perform at least 15% of the work and how it will be accomplished. NOTE: If qualified Section 8(a) firms or HubZone firms do not respond, this planned contract action will be converted to a full and open competition.
