Description

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive contract with Northwest Marine Technology, Inc. (NMT). This award is for the purchase of two (2) each Automatic Tag Injectors, with 3 head molds, 3 etched needles, transit case and foot pedal switch also two (2) each Handheld "Wand" Detectors. These tags are manufactured and distributed solely by NMT. Each group of tags is made for a specific agency containing a unique batch or individual code and protected by several U.S. patents. A determination not to compete this proposed contract has been made Pursuant to 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as implemented by 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), this requirement has been justified and approved in accordance with FAR 6.303 and FAR 6.304. NMT is the only known authorized manufacturer and distributor for this item. THIS NOTICE IS NEITHER A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION NOR A SOLICITATION OF OFFERS. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within its discretion.
