- (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only official notification. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) Solicitation 6490030012 is issued as a Request for Quote. (iii) This solicitation document incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-09 effective 30 Sep 2002. (iv) This requirement is unrestricted; all responsible sources may submit a quote. The applicable North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 532111 and the size standard is $21.5 million. (v) CLIN 0001: LONG TERM LEASE OF SIX (6) SUV FORD EXPLORER XLS 4x4 4-DOOR OR EQUAL. CLIN 0002: OPTION TO EXTEND TERM OF LEASE. CLIN 0003: OPTION TO EXTEND TERM OF LEASE. CLIN 0004: OPTION TO EXTEND TERM OF LEASE. (vi) The vehicles will be driven across the United States making frequent stops along the route in support of the "CORPS of DISCOVERY II" traveling exhibit. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing motor oil, antifreeze, and similar items. The contractor shall also be responsible for performing all maintenance, emergency repairs and/or related services. (viii) The following clauses and provisions are incorporated and are to remain in full force in any resultant contract. If a copy of the provisions are needed, they can be found on http://arnet.gov/far/. FAR Clause 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial Items is incorporated by reference. (ix) The Government will award to the responsible offeror whose proposal, conforming to the requirements of this combined synopsis/solicitation, offers the lowest evaluated price inclusion of options and price-related factors. A written notice of award or acceptance of an offer, mailed or otherwise furnished to the successful offeror within the time for acceptance specified in the offer, shall result in a binding contract without further action by either party. (x) Each offeror shall include a completed copy of the provisions at FAR clause 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items with the quotation. (xi) FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. (xii) The FAR Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. In addition clause 52.208-4, Vehicle Lease Payments, 52,208-5, Condition of Leased Vehicles, 52.208-6, Marking of Leased Vehicles, and 52.208-7, Tagging of Leased Vehicles apply.
