Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a sole source requirements contract to Manugistics, Inc., 9715 Key West Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850, for development and maintenance of custom applications that complement Western Data Systems' CompassENTERPRISE suite of applications. Manugistics acquired Western Data Systems in April 2002. Western Data Systems is the original developer of CompassENTERPRISE and owns the source code. The period of performance shall be from date of award and continue for 12 months plus four options of 12 months for a total of 5 years. Authority: FAR 6.302-1, 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1); Justification: Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested persons may identify their interest and ability to provide development and maintenance to proprietary software codes in the CompassENTERPRISE suite of applications or submit proposals. All proposals received before 2:00 p.m. (Eastern Time) on 8 January 2003 will be considered by the Government. If no proposals are received by that time, a sole source contract with Manugistics, Inc. will be pursued. See Note 22.
