Description

GED Instructor/Teacher to instruct inmates for 20 hours per week. 1040 instructional hours per year. October 1, 2002 to September 30, 2003, plus four option years. The contractor will instruct all assigned classes in the Education Department at the United States Penitentiary, Lee County, Virginia. The contractor will conduct two GED classes Monday through Thursday. The first class session will be 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The second class session will be 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. On Friday, the contractor will assist with GED instruction in various day time GED classes from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The contractor must have graduated from a four year college or university with a major in Education or have a four year degree with a State Teaching Certificate.
