Description
SOLICITATION NO. N68335-03-R-0024 AND ALL AMENDMENTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/, Select "Business", then "Doing Business With Us", and "Open Solicitations". This procurement is for 4 Each Accumulator Assembly P/N-614725-2 IAW NAWC DWG 614725 REV P REI/TDR-02-19010 and technical data, with an Option Quantity of 1 Unit with technical data. The main accumulator assembly consists of vertical cylinder containing a free floating piston. The piston separates the accumulator into two chambers, a fluid chamber on top and an air chamber on the bottom. The accumulator provides fluid under controlled pressure to all hydraulically operated catapult components. The bottom chamber of the accumulator connects by piping to the air flask and the top chamber is connected by piping to the hydraulic system. A blowndown valve and line are provided to return the accumulator fluid to a gravity tank. A stroke control actuator provides a means of controlling main hydraulic pump delivery is required. A volume normal actuator mounted to the top flange provides protection from operating the catapult if the fluid volume is dangerously low. The production units are due 15 months after award of contract. Delivery FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ with packaging and packing in accordance with MIL-STD 2073, (Standard practice for military packaging) (Reference Document MIL-STD-130). This procurement contains Technical Data subject to Export Control Laws, see note 8. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors will be discussed in detail in the solicitation. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
