Description
SOLICITATION NO. N68335-03-R-0023 AND ALL AMENDMENTS WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR homepage located at http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations/. Select "Business", then "Doing Business With Us", and "Open Solicitations". This procurement is for Capacity Selector Valve (CSV), IAW with NAWC DWG 623620-6, 4 Production units with technical data, and an Option Quantity of 1 unit and technical data. The CSV system provides the means for varying the energy output of a steam catapult by controlling the opening rate of the launch valve. The setting control electrical system provides for positioning the capacity selector valve for various aircraft of various types and weights. A motor unit assembly positions the valve depending on control system requirements. The system contains various components, which permit ordering of the required or command valve setting operation, and monitoring the valve position automatically. A hand wheel on the motor unit may be used to change the valve position should the automatic controls be inoperative. The production Units are due 18 months after contract award. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to Lakehurst, NJ. Packing and Packaging unless otherwise indicated shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Identify in accordance with MIL-STD 130. This procurement contains Technical Data subject to Export Control Laws, see note 8. The Government intends to award a contract to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the Government. Evaluation factors will be discussed in detail in the solicitation. All contractors seeking award must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database.
