- Description
- The Federal Supply Service of the General Services Administration (GSA), a Federal Government agency, is exploring industry capabilities for travel agent services. GSA has had TMC contracts in place for several years and is considering an alternate contracting strategy. We therefore are interested in learning more about: the menu of travel agent services available; typical operating processes used in a corporate environment including (but not limited to) how corporate business rules/policies/procedures, travel expense reporting, and management reporting are handled; and how traditional and on-line travel agent services work, including what features and capabilities they can deliver. We invite you to provide information that will assist GSA in understanding the commercial market for this type of service. We will use the information you provide to ensure that any requirements we develop for a future solicitation accommodate and adopt commercial practices to the maximum extent practicable. We will keep the information you provide confidential and will use it for acquisition planning purposes only within this context. We request that travel agent service providers submit responses by December 9, 2002. If you have any questions, please contact Andrea Dingle, Contracting Officer, by email at andrea.dingle@gsa.gov or by telephone at 703-305-6190.
