- Description
- The Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, has a requirement for woodlined, steel small arms storage facilities. The armories will be manufactured in accordance with NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane specification. The armories shall be manufactured of at least ¼ inch carbon steel, and wood-lined with at least 2 inches of hardwood. The armories are to be constructed in accordance with Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms Regulation (27CFR part 55) for Type I and Type II bullet-resistant containers with modifications to meet U.S. Navy AA&E physical security requirements ( OPNAVINST 5530.13), U.S. Navy safety requirements (OP5) and other requirements as outlined in the specification. The contract will be a five year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract with a minimum quantity of 1 unit and a maximum of 50 units of various dimensions. 20’L x 10’W x 10’H is a common size required. Final inspection and acceptance will be at source. Items shall be shipped FOB destination to Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, Indiana. Required delivery for the minimum will be 10 weeks after issuance of delivery order. This solicitation will be available on or about 31 July 2002. The closing date will be annotated in the solicitation. This solicitation will be available to download via WWW on the Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division homepage at www.crane.navy.mil.
