Description
Furnish all material, labor, equipment and transportation necessary to demolish and replace Albion River Light 1 (LLNR 8080), which is the entrance light located on the mooring rock in the mouth of the Albion River in Albion, California. The work includes but is not limited to the following: (A) Demolish and remove the existing Albion River Light 1 steel structure. Leave the existing concrete foundation and the existing anchor bolts intact for later reuse; (B) Fabricate and install a new single pipe steel pile structure with a standard 7? x 7? aluminum platform, which will be welded to a steel base plate and anchored to the existing concrete foundation. The new structure will include a new ladder and flexible safety climb system; (C) Coordination with USCG: Albion River Light 1 is maintained by USCG Aids-To-Navigation Team (ANT) Humboldt Bay. All aid-to-navigation (ATON equipment removed from the existing aid shall be returned to ANT Humboldt Bay representatives, either on scene or at their office. The contractor shall pick up the new aid material at the office of ANT Humboldt Bay. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. This procurement is estimated between $25,,000.00 and $100,000.00 and is open to both small and large business in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this procurement is 234990. Size Standards is $28.5. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The due dates for bids will be approximately 21 January 2003. This date is estimated and may change. All responsible sources are encouraged to respond. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
