Description
NA The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, Charleston District, proposes to issue a contract for maintenance and repair of its hydrographic survey system/equipment on-site aboard its two survey essels. Occasional repairs will be performed at the contractor's facili ty. A formal request for proposal (RFP) will be issued. Contract will be issued for one base year and up to four option years. Request for copy of this RFP No. DACW60-03-R-0003 must be made by December 17, 2002. Interested persons should have had at leas t five years of demonstrated experience maintaining hydrographic survey systems, two years of which shall be installing and maintaining equipment and software from the specific companies listed as follows: Panasonic notebook computers (Windows 98 and Wind ows 2000 operating systems; Innerspace 456 dual frequency, single-beam depth sounders; Innerspace 449 single frequency, single-beam depth sunders; Ross and Innerspace transducers, 200 kHz and 28 kHz; Trimble navigation GPS; TSS, Ltd. heave/pitch/roll senso r; Coastal Oceanographics Hypack Max and version 8.9 software; Coastal Oceanographics helm display; and miscellaneous electronic components. Past experience with these systems, particularly when obtaining new equipment, has caused many hardware and softwar e interface problems that were resolved by an experienced contractor. Extensive reconfigurations and software modifications have been necessary for the initial setup of new equipment to insure future operations of the system.
