Description
The Bureau of Reclamation is seeking sources with the knowledge, skills, and capabilities to assist Hoover Dam management in developing a security and tourism plan that accommodates and takes advantage of the Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge scheduled for completion in 2007. This plan at a minimum should accomplish: (1) Hoover Dam security improvements; (2) tourism experience improvements; (3) parking and tourist movement improvements; (4) reductions in ticket handling and security costs; (5) methods for keeping traffic off the dam accept during bridge closure; (6) data necessary to stream line the environmental clearance process; (7) data necessary to initiate the preparation of designs and specification to implement the plan; and (8) information necessary to implement any required procedural or policy changes. The qualified candidate will be required to work closely with Hoover Dam personnel and provide frequent updates of the status of the final required plan. A draft statement of work is available upon request to interested parties for review and comment. Firms interested in participating in the above procurement are invited to submit a response to this request. Responses should clearly state the firm's name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and e-mail address. The firm's knowledge, skills, and experience that would make them qualified and capable of accomplishing the above requirement should be addressed thoroughly in the form of a resume and/or curriculum vitae. The resume should specifically state the qualifications of each team member expected to work on such a project. Inclusion of an estimated cost and time of completion for this work would also be helpful. Information received through this notice may be utilized by the Government and does not constitute a request for proposals and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. No claim to the Government will be considered for the use of any information submitted as a result of this notice. In addition, interested parties responding to this notice shall bear all risk and expense of any resources used to provide the requested information. The information collected through this process is considered to be market research as described by FAR 2.101. Requests for the draft statement of work may submitted by e-mail to Amy Dahlke at Adahlke@lc.usbr.gov or by fax at 702-293-8499. Qualification responses should be provided no later than January 10, 2003, to Beverly Nelson at the same fax number and e-mail address as previously stated.
