Description

NA The U.S. Geological Survey, National Mapping division, Mapping Applications Center, Printing Programs Section intends to award an order to Kodak Polychrome Graphics, Norristown, Pennsylvania for V-360 printing plates. The Printing Plate Process Section possesses a Polychrome Plate Processor specifically manufactured to develop Kodak Polychrome plates using chemicals, which are uniquely formulated to remove excess coating from exposed plates, which reduces delays resulting from incompatibility between chemical and plates. Experimental tests run over a period of years in our printing plant have proven that Polychrome plates produce consistently high results, which other plates do not. It is believed that Polychrome plates are only available from Kodak Polychrome Graphics. THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSED ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Information will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Determination to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice must be submitted via e-mail to: mfritts@usgs.gov by 12/08/02. No additional synopsis will be published. See Numbered Note 22.
