- DESC: This is for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract for Shouldered Shafts applicable to the C-5 aircraft. Buyer requests that this contract cover a period of five years for order from date of issuance of contract. Contract minimum will be fulfilled with the initial order of 56 each production units and 2 each First Article units. The subsequent order minimum is 25 each and the order maximum is 60 each. The contract maximum over the life of the contract is 358 each. CLIN 0001 (First Article): NSN 3040-01-302-1166UC; NOUN: Shouldered Shaft; P/N: 4T33001-103B; DIM: First end diameter 3.7340 in nominal, first end internal thread length 3.25 in, 12 external threaded, second end diameter 3.5885 in, second end external thread length 3.5 in, largest step diameter 4.1390 in, overall length 10.060 in; Material: Steel Comp 4340; Function: Second end has eight slots equally spaced at end for lock wires to go thru horizontal stabilizer for the C-5 Aircraft. Delivery: July 2002. Delivery: December 2002. The approximate RFP issue date will be 21 June 2002 with the approximate response date of 22 July 2002. This procurement will use the Red/Yellow/Green (RYG) Program in the evaluation of past performance. The Government reserves the right to award to the supplier whose quote represents the best value to the Government. If your concerns are not satisfied by the Contracting Officer, an Ombudsman has been appointed to hear serious concerns that are not resolved through established channels. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the Program Director or Contracting Officer, but to communicate serious contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of the proposals or in the source selection process.
