- NA Fort Eustis VA Directorate of Logistics is looking for sources to provide laundry services. These services would be in the form of bundled laundry bags containing a combination of personal and military (battle dress uniforms known hereafter as BDUs) cloth ing. We are estimating about 500 bundles per week (the cost will drive this number) with each bundle containing 10 items (including the bag) hollding the items. Bundles would consist of varying pieces depending on the individuals needs but would probably contain five personal clothing items and four BDU items. The BDU (trousers/shirts) items would need to be washed/dried/pressed and starched and then hung on hangers. The personal clothings items (could be anything from socks and underwear to jeans or d ress shirts)would be washed/dried/folded and placed back in the bag. All items would be premarked with the individuals names or other identifying information.. Bundles would be picked up from and returned to one central location on the installation. Wor kload could be staggered so as not to receive all 50 bundles on the same day (unless desired). Interested sources would have to be able to provide a two day (pick up on Monday return on Wednesday, etc.) turn around to the central location. It is also pos sible for entire workload to be picked up on Friday and returned on Monday if any potential sources may be interested in that option. Other terms and conditions may be negotiated with interested parties. The installation desires to start this service in f irst quarter of calander year 03.
